Core Strengthening Exercises for a Stronger and Healthier You

Warm-Up (5-10 minutes)

  • Jumping Jacks: 2 minutes
  • High Knees: 2 minutes
  • Dynamic Stretching: Hip circles and trunk rotations – 1 minute each

Core Workout

  1. Plank (3 sets)

    Hold a plank position for 30-60 seconds each set.

    Benefit: Enhances stability and works the entire core, including shoulders and back.

  2. Bicycle Crunches (3 sets of 15-20 reps)

    Alternate elbows to opposite knees to engage the obliques and lower abs.

    Benefit: Improves muscle endurance and coordination in the core.

  3. Russian Twists (3 sets of 20 reps)

    Twist your torso to touch the floor on either side while keeping your legs elevated.

  • Child’s Pose: 2 minutes
  • Cobra Stretch: 1 minute
  • Cat-Cow Stretch: 1 minute
  • Deep Breathing: 2 minutes to relax and reduce heart rate.
